Midterm report at the second semester of the 3th year

 

1. The cover page and the content is assigned by the department including the

¡@graphs required to be presented by computer.

2. The report is required to be printed in book format. If this requirement is not met,

¡@it will not be accepted.

3. One copy the midterm report is required to be given to advisors for reference.

1.   The report content and the format is as following:

A. The language type is decided by advisors, but if it is not written in Chinese,

¡@ the Chinese topic and the abstract has to be attached in Chinese.

¡@ The abstract has to explain the result of the graduation project within

¡@ 150-300 words.

B. The content includes topic, the department of the researchers, names

¡@ (Please present English names as full names, and have the first name first,

¡@ then the last name.), abstract, key words, content and reference.

C. The regulation of typing format¡G

(I) The paper is based on  A4¡]21CM¡¯30CM¡^size.

(II) Chinese draft¡G

1. The word type is Times New Roman in Chinese.

2. The margin is 2.54 for top and bottom, 3.14 for right and left side.

3. Please have the example layout (I) as reference.

(III) English draft 

1. The word type is Times New Roman.

2. The margin is 2.54 for top and bottom of the page, 3.14 for right

¡@and left side of the page.

3. Please have the example layout (II) as reference.

D. Please notice when producing forms¡G

  1. Forms are separately written on white paper with a title on the top and

¡@  labeled with form 1, form 2¡Ketc.

  2. The content in the forms should present as simple as possible. If words

¡@  can explain the data, then it is not necessary to have them in forms in case

¡@  the content of the form and the description of words are doubled.

  3. In the form, if notation is needed, please use a, b, c and lay it at the top

¡@  right of the number or the word. The content of the notation and the

¡@  number of the form is marked right the content, but please try not to

¡@  avoid small notations.

  4. The layout should match with this page. The width is not over 16cm

¡@  and the length is not over 24cm.

E. The regulations of the graphs¡G

  1. While producing illustrations (including graphs) or photographs,

 ¡@  please especially pay attention to the size of this page

 ¡@  ¡]16CM¡¯24CM¡^¡C

  2. By using the shining side black and white as the principle,

  ¡@the definition is to shrink till 1/2 and better readable

  3. The pictures are labeled as they are presented in the content

 ¡@ and marked as graph 1, graph 2 etc.

  4. The photographs are produced as combination graphs;

 ¡@ eliminate unnecessary ones to save space. When producing

 ¡@ the combination graphs, every picture has to be black-and-white.

 ¡@ Please do not put illustrations and photographs on the same

 ¡@ combination graph.

  5. The description of the pictures should be short, but it has to

 ¡@ be independent and complete. To have readers understand

 ¡@ the content of the picture without reading the content.

F. Number units¡G

    The paragraph description of the content is labeled as1,¡]1¡^, The numbers are shown by Arabic alphabet, all the magnanimity is used by the metric system. The common notes are like mg¡Bm¡Bml¡BpH¡Bpp M¡Ketc., and it is not necessary to use Chinese.

 

G.  As to the regulations for using quotation reference:

1. Reference should be listed as it is used in the content and number

¡@it with 1¡B2¡B3¡B....¡K If the content is involved with quotations,

¡@then it should number the reference with Arabic number plus

¡@parentheses like  ¡]1¡^¡B¡]1.2¡^¡]1-4¡^etc.

2. Chinese and Japanese reference is arranged by the character number

¡@of the author¡¦s last name which is listed in front and the western

    reference lists afterwards by author¡¦s last name¡¦s phonetic

    transcription. 

3. If the reference is journals, it is listed by the author¡¦s names, the

   year (western), title, name, volume, edition and page number of

   the publication.

4. If the reference is books, it is listed by the author¡¦s name, published

    year, name, edition, and publisher, place of publication and page

    number.

5-6. Expectation results: To explain the expectation result, then explain the

¡@¡@solution for problems if there is any unsolved part.

5-7. Whoever does not hand in the midterm paper will have this subject

¡@¡@mark as failed and is not allowed to proceed the production of the

¡@¡@graduation project at the second semester.
